This blanket design celebrates the breath-taking, teal blue water of Machrihanish Bay on the south west of the peninsula, together with the deep blue Atlantic waves, as you look from the shore to the magical, Western Hebridean islands.
This small field blanket is crafted using a top and base fabric with weatherproof qualities together with a luxury, organic bamboo lining.

Top fabric: 100% BCI cotton with a fluorocarbon free, dry wax, water repellent finish. Light creasing may occur when hand crafting the finished product due to the natural properties of the fabric.
Base fabric: 100% BCI cotton with a traditional wax, water resistant finish. Soft to the touch with a matt appearance, this high quality, durable fabric has been tried & tested in outdoor use for 135 years. Some creasing may occur when hand crafting in our workshop and when in use due to the nature of the wax. This adds to the unique character of the fabric itself.
Lining: 100% certified, organic bamboo wadding. Natural and antibacterial. Luxuriously soft, designed for comfort.
Thread: Sewn with a heavy duty cotton thread which swells if in contact with water to seal the cloth. The use of cotton thread ensures our blankets are 100% recyclable.
Use instructions:
The Hill & Glen logo label should always be visible to ensure the dry wax finish is the upwards facing fabric. Please take care to ensure the traditional wax base is never used as the top surface, to avoid transfer of wet wax to clothes and to ensure the wet wax does not heat up in direct sunlight.
Care instructions:
• Don't put away damp – do always air dry before storing.
• Do not wash (do not hand wash, machine wash or dry clean).
• Do not bleach, iron, steam or tumble dry.
• Sponge with cold water/cloth. Spot clean only. Wait for dirt to dry before brushing off then sponge with cold water.
• Do not allow contact with alcohol based products, fabric softeners and solvent cleaners. Never use soaps or detergents.
• Do not use near a naked flame. Do keep away from fire.
• Don't use on rough surfaces such as gravel/concrete/stone.
