This small field blanket is crafted with a top and base fabric with weatherproof qualities, together with a unique, luxury bamboo lining.

Top fabric: 100% BCI cotton with a fluorocarbon free, dry wax, water repellent finish. Light creasing may occur when hand crafting the finished product due to the natural properties of the fabric.
Base fabric: 100% BCI cotton with a traditional wax and water resistant finish. Soft to the touch with a matt appearance, this durable, tried & tested fabric is sourced from an historic UK mill, synonymous with creating highest quality waxed cotton for 135 years. This base fabric will crease in use and age through time. Like an old pair of jeans or a family dining table, it's the imperfections that create a relaxed comfort and carry memories from all its adventures.
Lining: 100% certified, organic bamboo wadding. Natural and antibacterial. Luxuriously soft, designed for comfort.
Thread: Sewn with a heavy duty cotton thread on both top & base in order that the cotton swells if in contact with water to seal the cloth. Unlike most picnic blankets which are made with polyester thread, the use of cotton thread in our products ensures the finished product is 100% recyclable and not destined for landfill.

The Hill & Glen logo should always be visible to ensure the dry wax finish is the upwards facing fabric. Please take care to ensure the traditional wax base is never used as the top surface, in order to avoid the transfer of wet wax to clothes and/or to risk the wet wax heating up in hot weather.
Care instructions:
• Don't put away damp – do always air dry before storing.
• Do not wash (hand wash, machine wash or dry clean).
• Do not bleach, iron, steam or tumble dry.
• Sponge with cold water/cloth. Spot clean only. Wait for dirt to dry before brushing off then sponging gently with cold water.
• Do not allow contact with alcohol based products, fabric softeners and solvent cleaners. Never use soaps or detergents.
• Don't use near a naked flame. Do keep away from fire.
• Don't use on rough surfaces such as gravel/concrete/stone.
• Regular reproofing will help maintain weather proof qualities of the fabric and prolong the product life, with a fluorocarbon free spray for the top fabric and a traditional wax for the base. Please contact us for stockist details.
